Bottlefield: A Browser Shooter Where Every Player Is a Drink

Every shooter has soldiers. **Bottlefield** has drinks. Cans against bottles, cartons against cups, a wine glass that shatters at the first bad decision and a two-litre bottle wearing armour. It's a fast browser shooter where every player is a drink, every bullet leaves a hole, and every hole leaks. Lose enough of what's inside you and you're out. Hydration has never been this competitive. ## Pick your drink Teams are drink types: **Cans, Bottles, PET, Cartons, Glass and Cups**. Each drink has its own size, health and handling, and its own ultimate. A slim can is hard to hit. A big bottle can take a beating. Glass looks fancy and shatters like you'd expect. You unlock more drinks as you level up, and each one keeps its own loadout.  ## Holes, leaks and very bad days Damage isn't just a number going down. A bullet punches a real hole where it hit, and the drink starts leaking from it, down to the level of the hole. Shoot someone low and they drain fast. Shoot the top and they mostly just get angry. Tear a bottle open and it pours out on the spot. Bullets can go straight through one drink and into the one standing behind it, so lining up is a bad idea. When you go down, the kill cam replays the moment from your killer's side, with their screen, their wounds and their slightly smug expression.   ## Maps The arenas are places drinks actually hang out: a back bar, a street of shops, a party yacht, a rooftop, a supermarket aisle and a picnic in the grass. Everything is sized for a drink, so a table is a building and a crisp packet is a wall.     ## Modes Free for all, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, King of the Hill, Domination (three or five zones) and Capture the Flag. There's also a training range, for when you want to shoot things that don't shoot back. ## Killstreaks Points from kills, assists and objectives unlock killstreaks, and you bring up to four into a match. Spy drones, care packages, sentry guns, attack dogs, a Soda Bot, Talon drones, melon air drops, an attack helicopter and, for those who earn it the hard way, a nuke. They see what you see: walls and scenery block them too.  ## Online, and on Discord Bottlefield runs in any current browser. Rooms are hosted by one player, with lag compensation so your shots land where you aimed. Bots fill empty slots, so a match starts even with two people. Inside Discord it runs as an Activity: start it in a voice channel and your friends can join straight from your profile. Sign in with Discord and your level and loadouts follow you between the website, itch.io and Discord. It's still growing almost daily, so expect new drinks, maps and bugs. Grab a can and jump in.
